Holidays

Holidays are dates when operations do not run in specific locations, such as festivals or other non-working days.

You can define holidays and assign them to Campaign Segments and scheduling configurations. When a holiday is assigned:

  • Campaign Segments do not run on that date.

  • Contacts scheduled for that date are not delivered.

The home page displays a list of configured holidays and their association with Campaign Segments:

Column Description
Name Shows the name of the holiday configuration. The system uses this name to identify the holiday when mapping it to campaign segments or schedules.
Start Date Shows the first date on which the holiday takes effect.
End Date Shows the last date on which the holiday takes effect. A holiday can cover one day or multiple consecutive days.
Days Shows the start and end days of the week, such as Tue–Fri, and the total number of days the holiday covers.
Mapped Campaign Segments

Shows the number of campaign segments associated with the holiday.

Note: Campaigns mapped to this holiday do not run during the holiday period.

Create Holiday

Follow these steps to create a holiday:

  1. Enter a value in the Name field to define the holiday to identify the holiday when mapping it to campaign segments. You cannot edit the name after you create the holiday.

Note: You cannot edit a Holiday name once it is created.

  2. Select a Start date to define when the holiday begins. This date marks the first day on which Campaign Segments do not run.

  3. Select an End date to define when the holiday ends.

  4. Select Create to save the holiday and add it to the Holidays list. You can map the holiday to campaign segments later.

  5. Select Create and edit to save the holiday and open it in edit mode to map the Campaign Segments without returning to the Holidays page.

Edit Holiday

You can edit an existing holiday or a newly created holiday to update dates and map campaign segments.

  1. Select a holiday or select the holiday name to open it in edit mode.

  2. Review the Holiday name. You cannot edit the holiday name after creation.

  3. If required, update the Start date and End date. These dates define the period during which mapped campaign segments do not operate.

  4. Select Map campaign segments to view the list of available Campaign Segments for mapping.

  5. In the Mapped campaign segments section, review the listed campaign segments and select one or more campaign segments. This section shows the Campaign Segment name, associated Campaign Group, holiday start date, and holiday end date.

Note: The selected campaign segments do not run during the holiday period.

  6. To remove the holiday mapping from the selected Campaign Segment, select Delete under Action.

  7. Select Done to save the changes.
